Why do I keep waking up at 2am? And WHY did I have to get a cold, TODAY of all days? Well ok, I can sit out today, but I have important stuff to do tomorrow and Wednesday!
So I lay awake for a couple of hours, then Maylin finally wakes Joe and Téa up closer to 5am, and the three of them set out on a walk to explore our neighbourhood. The sun is fully out at 5.20am, and it’s already 25 degrees, feel like 31. They walk to a nearby park, find a koi pond, and listen to a marching band playing the national anthem.
They come back for an hour and a bit, and when they understand I’m in no shape to join them in any activities, they set out for the local aquarium. They see jellyfish, rays, seals, penguins and lots more. The girls even say it’s better than Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto!
In the same building as the aquarium, they discover a shopping mall to explore, and later an amazing grocery store right across the street. They come home loaded with groceries, and we have our first “home” cooked dinner in the Airbnb.
Everyone turns in early tonight, because TOMORROW IS DISNEY!
Looking at fish went swimmingly well.
