Téa spent some time last night after Maylin went to bed crafting Halloween card for the rest of us, so they were waiting on the kitchen table for us when we got up this morning.

Téa and I then agreed if we made boiled eggs for breakfast and sliced them in half, they could be eyeballs and half a bun each would be the mouth. Don’t ask me about the toast, it’s just there. Eyebrows, maybe?

Then it was time for language classes, both Norwegian and French. Both girls did really well this morning, and then school was all done for the day.

It was raining quite a bit, and colder than we are used to, so we were planning on holing up inside and find inside things to do, but first we needed groceries! Téa came with me, and we headed out for some dinner and breakfast things so we could hide from the torrential downpour promised for the afternoon and evening.

Téa and I knew that we were planning cup noodles for lunch, so we decided to pick up a few pieces of fried chicken at 7Eleven on our way home to bulk up our meals.

The girls and I had picked up some half sized Pokémon themed cup noodles when we went shopping the other day, so they were excited to see Eevee’s face staring up at them from their noodles.

I was the last one in the family who hadn’t eaten her CupNoodle from the CupNoodle museum yet, so I got to open my very special, hand picked combo today. I’m sad it’s gone, because I have really good taste, and this was the best cup of noodles in the history of CupNoodles, I’m sure of it!

After lunch, I was a wreck and headed upstairs for a nap while the girls played downstairs. Best nap ever, even though the wrecking crew were literally tearing down the walls of the building next door.
Joe cooked up the salmon I had picked out at the store this morning, along with some leafy greens and mushrooms, over rice. Absolutely delicious! And THEN – after waiting SO PATIENTLY aaaaaallllll day long – it was finally time for our treat bags to celebrate Halloween!

We had a very subdued Halloween. We didn’t hear or see anyone in our little cul-de-sac, even though there are both younger and older kids here. It was also raining hard and we’re the very last house in the street, so not surprising that nobody came our way.
We put on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and indulged on some of our candies. Very different from our usual Halloween of family costumes and bagfulls of candy, chips and chocolates that last until springtime, but a cozy rainy fall night nonetheless.
